Wiz Khalifa apparently knows exactly how to celebrate the most important day in cannabis culture.
The rapper’s record label Taylor Gang announced a Red Rocks Amphitheatre concert for April 20, 2026 – perfectly timing the show with the unofficial cannabis holiday known as 4/20.
The announcement came just one day before the concert, creating what seems like the ultimate last-minute celebration for cannabis enthusiasts.
Taylor Gang posted on social media about the event, writing: “Can’t wait for 4/20 on the Rocks at @RedRocksCO.” The post included a link for fans to grab tickets.
It is not hard to tell that this timing is no coincidence. Wiz Khalifa has been one of hip-hop’s most vocal cannabis advocates for years, making him probably the perfect artist to headline a 4/20 celebration.
The choice of Red Rocks Amphitheatre makes this announcement even more significant. The iconic Colorado venue is legendary among music fans for its stunning natural acoustics and breathtaking mountain views.
Colorado’s cannabis-friendly laws add another layer of cultural importance to this show. The state has been at the forefront of cannabis legalization, making it an ideal location for this kind of celebration.
Wiz Khalifa has built much of his brand around cannabis culture throughout his career. Songs like “Black and Yellow” and “See You Again” made him a mainstream star, but his advocacy for cannabis has remained consistent.
The rapper has been open about his cannabis use and has even launched his own cannabis brand. He reportedly consumes significant amounts daily and has never been shy about discussing it publicly.
Red Rocks has hosted countless legendary performances over the decades. The venue’s natural rock formations create an amphitheater that many consider one of the most beautiful concert locations in the world.
Tickets for the show are apparently still available despite the short notice. The last-minute announcement seems to be generating excitement among fans who appreciate both Wiz Khalifa’s music and the cultural significance of the date.
4/20 has become an unofficial holiday for cannabis enthusiasts worldwide. The date reportedly originated from a group of high school students in California who would meet at 4:20 PM to smoke cannabis.
The tradition has grown into a cultural phenomenon that extends far beyond its humble origins. Major cities now host festivals and events, and many artists plan special releases around the date.
Wiz Khalifa’s decision to perform at Red Rocks on 4/20 seems like a natural fit for an artist who has never hidden his enthusiasm for cannabis culture.
The announcement comes at a time when cannabis legalization continues to expand across the United States. More states are embracing both medical and recreational cannabis laws.
Fans of both Wiz Khalifa and cannabis culture apparently have less than 24 hours to make their way to Colorado for what promises to be a memorable celebration.
The combination of an iconic venue, a cannabis-friendly artist, and the most important date in cannabis culture seems like a recipe for an unforgettable show.
This appears to be exactly the kind of event that makes 4/20 special for enthusiasts around the world.
